Quick and Easy Ciabatta Pizza

Crusty ciabatta bread topped with pizza sauce and melted cheese for a great weeknight meal. Serve as an entrée with salad or vegetables, or make this for game day as a tasty appetizer. Serves 6 to 12 (depending on portion sizes).

Equipment

Ingredients

  • 1 loaf fresh ciabatta bread 14 to 16 ounces
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella
  • 1/3 cup shredded Parmesan
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning or to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350° F. Split the ciabatta loaf in half lengthwise and place on a sheet pan.
  • Spread pizza sauce evenly on each half then top with mozzarella and Parmesan. Sprinkle on the Italian seasoning.
  • Bake the pizzas for 15 minutes, or until cheese is fully melted.
  • Turn oven to BROIL on High and broil the pizzas until cheese is golden and bubbly, 2 to 3 minutes.
  • Remove from oven and let cool for a couple minutes then cut as desired. Serve warm.

Notes

Storage:
Ciabatta pizza is best if eaten fresh but can be stored in the fridge, in an airtight container, up to 2 days. Reheat in the oven until warmed throughout (7 to 10 minutes).
Add other toppings if desired, but avoid anything soggy like tomatoes or fresh vegetables to keep pizza from sinking.
