Ingredients
1loaffresh ciabatta bread14 to 16 ounces
1/2cuppizza sauce
2cupsshredded mozzarella
1/3cupshredded Parmesan
1/2teaspoonItalian seasoningor to taste
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350° F. Split the ciabatta loaf in half lengthwise and place on a sheet pan.
Spread pizza sauce evenly on each half then top with mozzarella and Parmesan. Sprinkle on the Italian seasoning.
Bake the pizzas for 15 minutes, or until cheese is fully melted.
Turn oven to BROIL on High and broil the pizzas until cheese is golden and bubbly, 2 to 3 minutes.
Remove from oven and let cool for a couple minutes then cut as desired. Serve warm.
Notes
Storage:Ciabatta pizza is best if eaten fresh but can be stored in the fridge, in an airtight container, up to 2 days. Reheat in the oven until warmed throughout (7 to 10 minutes).Add other toppings if desired, but avoid anything soggy like tomatoes or fresh vegetables to keep pizza from sinking.
